Samsung is all set to launch its latest ruggedised handset - the Samsung Solid Extreme Bluetooth Mobile Phone. Samsung boasts that this mobile phone can withstand fall of 2 metres, ducking in water up to 1 metre and is highly resistant to dust. This shock-proof handset is designed to defy rough and noisy conditions like building sites. Noise cancellation technology has been incorporated in the handset that stops background noise interrupting conversations and it also has an ‘extremely loud’ speaker.

The dimensions of this rugged handset are (H)113 x (W)48.9 x (D)17.4mm and it weighs 102.8g. It would come with a 1.77” TFT screen of 128 x 160 pixels, supporting 262k colours and is available in Red & Black colours. It is expected to feature an MP3 player, FM tuner and 1.3MP camera with which you can stills and video recording at 15fps.
